Maven: Fairy Godmother is a fantasy you will get into.
This quirky twist on “the rabbit hole” is about Maven of Mundane (reality) who has been selected by Fiona, Superior Fairy Godmother of Faery (make-believe), to replace her when she retires. Well, Maven is a middle-aged, over-weight, unemployed school teacher who has her own ideas of what “happily ever after” means. It is a “don’t- put- me- down” story that is endearing to anyone who grew up waiting for “Prince Charming” (didn’t most of us?). The princess does not have to settle for the prince, and she is not the only one who gets carried away. She also has a sequel in the works, That Darn Maven.
