Tory Gates

The 45-year-old Vermont native has been writing and performing nearly all his life.  In addition to his work in the radio business, Tory is one of the principal songwriters of his ongoing musical project, the Dharma Fools.  He also wrote for several years as a contributing writer and critic for FACE Magazine.

Tory’s theater credits include The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as a member of two Boston-area casts since 1990.  He has appeared in stage productions of The Crucible and A Comedy of Eros, as well as three independent films under the direction of Joel Ohren.  His most recent film turn was a cameo in Roulette, an independent film written and directed by Erik Kristopher Myers.

Tory Gates is a 26-year veteran of the radio industry. He’s worked as a disc jockey, journalist, talk show host, and traffic reporter. Currently, Tory is a sports anchor with the Radio Pennsylvania Network, and fill-in host of “Morning Edition” for WITF 89.5 FM, both in Harrisburg.

Gates has written Searching for Roy Buchanan which is followed in the series by:  Call It Love (complete), Tougher Than The Rest, Regeneration, and Live Forever (almost completed). Synopses of each book are available.

In addition, Tory has written and developed two other fiction trilogies, The Other Roads Club and The Outcast Society.  He is also writing in a more broad Adult Fiction vein, with recent works that include Parasite Girls and Out Among the Stars.
