Jennifer Grant, an award winning journalist, quit a perfectly good reporting job to create characters of her own. Her flash fiction short stories and prose poetry have been published in literary magazines such as Flashquake, Apollo’s Lyre and 6Tales. When she’s not making up stories, she can be found homeschooling her teenage son, or sitting on her yoga mat, seeking serenity. She lives in Gainesville, FL with her husband, son, a high strung dog, an ill tempered cat, and a bunch of rowdy reptiles near the Swamp.

Second Sight

Second Sight follows Zeke on an inter-dimensional journey of crime solving, one where he must realize his power of sight is more a blessing, than a curse…

Fifteen-year-old Zeke talks to dead people. Not all dead people, just his best friend Sadie who died two years ago in a terrible fire. Actually, this is the first time he’s ever spoken to a ghost. Ghost whispering really isn’t his gig. He’s a PCD kid all right – Pre-Cognitive Disease – living in the year 2020. His supposed ‘gift’ revolves around the fact that his blue eye sees the truth and his green eye sees the future. That’s why Zeke resides in Sierra, another dimension that houses all the PCD kids from Earth. More than anything, Zeke wants to be normal. But in order to figure out who killed his best friend, he must be anything but a typical teen. He must use all his powers to ferret out a killer who wants all kids like Zeke dead.
