A resident of North Texas, Thomas has a mild fascination with the paranormal and genuine creepiness for older homes. His debut novel, The Waverly House, brings these true feelings to life at a bed and breakfast in Southern Colorado. Upon completion, his new found passion and creative desire took control, leading him down the path of writing two more novels which he is currently working on today: 501 Mulberry Lane taps into Thomas’ humorous wit; portraying a family oriented neighborhood that gets turned upside down when a boisterous new homeowner begins to take control and The Monster Killer is a dramatic rendition; exploring the life of a ten year old boy who was displaced from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, only to shock the world’s most renowned scientists with a method for destroying future hurricanes. Both novels are scheduled for completion in 2012.
The Waverly House
Donning a pressed apron and tender smile, Agnes Waverly puts the final touches on another scrumptious meal at her quaint bed and breakfast as Leah and Clayton Johnson check in for a week of anniversary bliss. They suspect nothing of the odd noises coming from above and the foul smell emanating from the bountiful garden. But even Agnes has secrets…perhaps one that she may share; that is of course, if her deceased husband, Walter, doesn’t take a liking to you. Unfortunately for guests of the Waverly House, Agnes will be the first to know. A familiar voice begins to tingle deep within Agnes’ deranged mind – her beloved Walter is not pleased and says it is time to crank up “old Rusty”, their chipper. Having an unquenchable thirst to nurture her precious garden, Agnes has a special place for those that don’t cooperate… because Walter’s roses will never go unfed.
