Micah Linton’s Derby and Darcy-Recycled Dreams, a thirty page illustrated children’s book depicting two brothers who on a visit to their aunt’s beachside home, discover rubbish on the beach; setting fire to their imaginations. From sailing the seven seas to exploring the universe, they set out to put litter in its place, and at the same time, invent and construct modern art, space ships, and monsters of the deep.

As the author and illustrator, Linton is able to customize the artwork and dialogue to the specifications of your editorial department and to the region and age group in which it is most successfully marketed. Linton is looking forward to making this a series of Derby and Darcy adventures in environmentally conscious books.

This is sure to get the wheels turning in every child’s head that reads or has it read to them. In the spirit of Chitty-Chitty, Bang-Bang and The Iron Giant, Linton encourages us to recycle, reuse, and make sure that what cannot be is taken to the garbage dump is not discarded about the earth. Respecting the environment and our neighbors across the planet should start at a young age. Derby and Darcy are only just beginning to show us the way we all can make a difference.
