This oneis from Holly’s heart. The heritage of her mother’s people, the Eastern Band Cherokee, is beautiful, tragic, rich, ancient, and a treasured part of her upbringing. Her grandfather was a storyteller who left this world over 40 years ago. She still misses him, and cherishes the memories he shared with her family. At the time of his birth, few birth records were kept but her mother estimated his age to be around 108. His stories about a way of life that had long passed away, and predictions ‘of things to come,’ stayed with her. Many of those predictions that seemed so impossible at the time have come true. She included some of them in this story of a holy man who returns when he is needed by his people.
