The Rock Hole  takes you back to a time when kids could just be, men had to be, and evil was…

It is a story of boy named Top who is being raised by grandparents after his mom and dad die. But this is no ordinary situation. His grandfather, Ned Parker, is a full-time farmer and the part-time constable of Center Springs, Texas in the early 60’s. To say the least, it is never boring. Top is learning to hunt, the true meaning of right and wrong, and what honor and integrity actually mean during a time of civil and racial unrest.

When mutilated animals and then humans are found, this mostly quiet Texas town suddenly finds itself fearing every person, neighbor or stranger, and the once trustworthy countryside.

The Rock Hole is based on stories from Reavis Wortham’s grandfather who was a true constable in Lamar County, Texas during those years. While reading this book you will be taken back to that time, to the point where you can feel the dry, hot Texas heat, see the dust and haze, and sense your heart beating in terror of the unknown killer in your midst. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdiFbAwpTRo  video trailer

Burrows

Lyndon B. Johnson is President, Beatlemania is in overdrive and gasoline costs 30 cents a gallon when Ned Parker retires as constable in Center Springs, Texas.  But his plan to live a quiet life as a cotton farmer will soon change.  A phone call leads Ned to a body in the Red River and the discovery rips him out of retirement to help his nephew, the newly elected constable Cody Parker.  Together they work to head off a multi-state killing spree that sets northeast Texas on fire.

Desperado

Desperado is the journey of Sonny Bonner, from broken and disillusioned architect back to the man he was meant to be through remembrances of his fundamental roots. Planted 30 years before by the Old Man, morals and values of a small Texas town will be the knot he holds onto for his climb back to what really matters.
